Who We
Are
We look a lot like
Northern Virginia - a mixture
of ethnic, economic,
and
religious backgrounds, some native Virginians and others who have come
here from all over the U.S. and the world - but with one thing
in common.....our love for Jesus Christ and our desire to follow
Him.
We are part of the Christian and
Missionary
Alliance (C&MA or The Alliance), a worldwide association of
Christian churches that was
started more than 100 years ago by the famous missionary statesman,
A.B.
Simpson, in New York City. Simpson, a Presbyterian minister, left a
pastorate
in a large church to pursue his vision of uniting churches in prayer
and
sending missionaries. His vision ultimately became The Christian and Missionary
Alliance. The
C&MA has always emphasized missions, is recognized as an
innovative and
effective sender of missionaries, and actually has more churches
overseas than
it does in the USA. Through the years, the
Alliance has grown to become one of the
most effective missionary sending organizations operating today.
Currently, the Alliance ministers in more than 60 countries around the
world. Meet our
